NP Biopellets XL
N=Nitrate P=Phosphate

Marine Sources NP Biopellets is developed for Nitrate and Phosphate Reduction of the aquarium system.
It is a ideal pelletized biodegradable polymers that make waste from the water such as nitrate and phosphate to convert into bacteria. This keeps the aquarium water achieve natural marine water level.
Marine Sources Biopellet XL is a extra large size of media and it can be used without biopellet reactor and can be placed into the sump directly. Please keep the sufficient water flow to pass it.
Item No.: BP-XL00 / BP-XL500 / BP-XL1000
Packing Size: 300ML / 500ML / 1000 ML

Our new formula NP Reducing BioPellets are composed of 100% pure biologically degradable polymers. The pellets will allow aerobic growth of bacteria which consequently will consume nitrate and phosphate simultaneously. The bacteria will use up the carbon from the BioPellets, whilst nitrogen and phosphorus are taken from the water as nitrate and (ortho)phosphate. This conversion of organic BioPearls (together with inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus) into microbial biomass is called immobilization.
In addition, anaerobic layers will develop, resulting in additional denitrification, to avoid the sensitive marine animals being unadapted for sharply reducing of NO3 and PO4,
The recommended way of adding:
For the biopellet adding, we suggest we can add every 200~400 ml for every 200 L water.
Every 100~200 ml for every 100 L water
Every 300 ~600 ml for every 300 L water etc.
the proportion is like above
We also suggest you can add it according to the level that detected by your testkit after 1 month
Caution:
The use of NP BioPellets in marine aquariums must be accompanied by the use of a protein skimmer to achieve the export of bacteria and assimilated nutrients.
The use of ozone and UV will negatively affect bacterial recruitment of the BioPearls and increase the maturation time of the filter. So we won’t reocommend use the NP BioPellets with ozone and UV at the same time when cultivating bacteria.
When nitrate and phosphate are already very low before applying BioPellets, a decrease in these levels may not be detectable with standard aquarium testkits.
Compare to the biopellet media under using with biopellet reactor, the time of taking effect is relatively longer.
