MARINE SOURCES PHOSMINUS are a water purification material specifically designed for aquariums. Their main function is to effectively remove excess phosphates and silicates from water, prevent excessive growth of algae, and maintain stable and clear water quality. Both freshwater and seawater are suitable for use, with seawater being more effective.

ONE: The hazards of phosphates to fish tanks mainly manifest in the following aspects:

1. Promote algae growth: Phosphates are important nutrients for algae growth. Excessive phosphate can lead to overgrowth of algae, which not only affects the appearance of fish tanks, but also hinders light penetration and affects the photosynthesis of aquatic plants.
2. Oxygen consumption: Large amounts of algae consume oxygen in the water during nighttime respiration, leading to a decrease in dissolved oxygen in the fish tank and posing a threat to the survival of fish and other organisms.
3. Deterioration of water quality: The death and decomposition of algae can deteriorate water quality, producing harmful substances such as ammonia nitrogen and nitrite, which affect the health of fish.
4. Impact on biological balance: Excessive phosphate may disrupt the balance of the ecosystem in fish tanks, affecting the growth and activity of beneficial microorganisms, and thus affecting important ecological processes such as nitrogen cycling.
In summary, controlling the content of phosphate in fish tanks is crucial for maintaining good water quality and ecological balance of aquarium.

TWO:  Usage method

I. Preparation work
Firstly, turn off the filter and water pump of the fish tank to avoid interference from water flow during operation.

II. Place PHOSMINUS 
1. Open the packaging of PHOSMINUS  and rinse them several times with clean water.
Spread the PHOSMINUS evenly in the filter layer at the bottom of the fish tank. Alternatively, it can be packed in filter bags and placed in the water pump compartment or the compartment near the water pump.
3. It is recommended to place PHOSMINUS  appropriately according to the size and water quality of the aquarium. Generally speaking, the usage ratio is about 100 grams of phosphate absorbing beads per 100 liters of water.
4 MARINE SOURCES PHOSMINUS aluminum based phosphate adsorbent has extremely strong adsorption capacity and will continue to absorb; In general, adding 50g of this product to 100L of water can reduce 0.5PPM.
To avoid significant fluctuations in PO4 , we recommend using the principle of gradually adding less at the beginning. We recommend adding 100L/50g of PO4 for the first use and testing the PO4 content weekly. After 2 weeks, the maximum dosage can be increased to 100L/100g;
Ensure that the PHOSMINUS are in full contact and pass through the water flow to improve the adsorption effect.
(It can also be used in various bean reactors, but rolling is not recommended)

III. Resume operation
After placing the PHOSMINUS, restart the filter and water pump to allow the water flow to circulate normally.

THREE:  Precautions
1. Regular water quality testing: During the use of PHOSMINUS , it is recommended to regularly use water quality testing tools to detect the concentration of phosphate in the water, in order to timely understand changes in water quality and adjust the amount of PHOSMINUS used as needed. Usually, if PO4 can be in ideal dynamic equilibrium, there is no need to remove and replace it.
2. Replace the PHOSMINUS: When the PHOSMINUS are saturated, the PO4 value starts to continuously increase and is higher than the ideal value, which may be due to the gradual decrease in their phosphate absorbing effect. In this case, it is necessary to replace or increase the dosage. In general, the service life of phosphorus absorbing beads is 3-6 months. You can determine whether to replace the PHOSMINUS by observing changes in water quality or detecting phosphate concentration.
3. Use in conjunction with other filtering materials: In order to achieve better water purification effects, it is recommended to use PHOSMINUS in conjunction with other filtering materials (such as activated carbon, bio cotton, etc.).
4. Avoid contact with skin and ingestion: During the operation, try to avoid contact with skin and ingestion of PHOSMINUS. If accidentally in contact with the skin, please rinse immediately with clean water; If ingested, please seek medical attention promptly.

Four:  Storage method
PHOSMINUS should be stored in a dry, ventilated, and cool place, avoiding direct sunlight and humid environments.
